Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great popularity with her stories she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift began showing an enthusiasm for the industry of music as early as age. The trajectory of her career was rapid from children's play roles, through her first public appearance crowds of people. She was age 11 when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. the following year she began playing guitar and began writing songs. Swift became inspired to write her own material by country music artists genre, such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. In the year 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania in order to relocate to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time to wooing labels from the country near Nashville.
